Stars Beyond the Galaxy : Dont Underestimate Daees

A decade ago we had conducted a Dawah Training Program in IRF inviting around 25 students to teach them how to defend Islam against allegations. The method of refutating was a cultured one. This batch happens to be among the most active batch from our around 7 batches till now. Ather Khan in Peace TV is one of the finest inhouse speaker of IRF. Imran Mujthaba too has conducted Dawah training seminars in his Dawah centers in Hyderabad.
Another prominent daee from All India Batch.. Imtiaz Ahmed runs ILLUMNI in Chennai.. holding workshops of Scholars like Aseemul Hakeem etc. Imtiaz is a discplined Daee, giving talks in South India. Faheem , I am told runs dawah and Islah talk in Dubai and is active at grassroot level. Faheem and Javed Hussain together were the main brains behind CIS the famous Da'wah center of Bangalore. Even Jawed was from the All India Da'wah batch. Asiffudin is also one from the same all India Batch. His IACR is very active in Hyderbad holding dilogues with non Muslims. Suhail Baghdadi is very active in Daw'ah and Islah on interent.
Dawood Waid is also from the same batch. I visited his Red Camel school in New Mumbai Nerul. A colourful place for preschooling and early nursery, Dawood began with Buruj, a small time Islamic weekend classes for teens and now Buruj conducts its Seminars for parents , teachers and teens in no less than 70 cities. In coming days Buruj may be a household name in Singapore too. Dawood sacrificed his illustrious career in corporate world and now works over time on his Buruj and Red Camel.
Many people have developed a tendency of looking down at Daees. Their general statement is : Oh you are only a daee and not a scholar... Let us not undervalue the need of a da'ee in our contemprory society. Every Scholar is a da'ee but every daee may not be a scholar. Yet a daee is not zero in Islamic IQ. Keep it straight in your mind. Many daees of today are products from corporate world, having mastered International English, which makes it easy to build bridges between schoalrs and students of Ilm e Deen. They have excellent corporate skills which is essential for organising dawah seminars, interfaith dilogues, and promoting Islam among the educated class. If you study their fliers, pamphlets brouchers and study material you will notice that they have that 'zing' that cliks.
There are thousands of shining daees who may not have authored any book nor have been popular on Youtube like many AWESOME SPEAKERS, but they hold a prominent position in Dawah. Two creative and hard working daees in South India, Gaurav and Kazim are from Imran's trained batch. Gaurav has groomed himself as an effective orator in Interfaith Dailogues and Kazim besides giving talks holds a shining good will among many dawah centers in Hyderabad. Kazim runs GCP and is a very good PR for dawah.
These daees dont boast that they are scholars but they are a bridge between scholary works of scholars and knowledge thirsty readers. CIS of Bangalore has translated and published good works of many Arabic writers and run many seminars for even Graduates of Madrasa. My friend Shakir and Mehtab are active in this Unique project. Umar Sharief's DIET organises wonderful seminars inviting prominent scholars. Shakir, Mehtab and Umar Shareif did not participate in Dawah Seminar of IRF but they surely had that passion and zeal to serve Islam and that kept them going inspite of little or no formal training in Dawah but they still continue with istikamat..steadfastness..Their Organisations keeps on growing as their activities add more needful things for the community.. Let us not underestimate Daees...
