Crime Begins At Home: How we spoil Our own Children!

Crime Begins At Home: How we spoil Our own Children!

Crime can be classified into two catogeries, the Moral Sins and Crime. Some moral sins, like adultery and fornication, are punishable sins, so they can be put in the column of crime. Many people take moral sins as lesser crime because  many of them cannot be punished by the law and it is between the sinner and Allah. For example if you speak a lie to your teacher or your mother it may go unpunished in this world but Allah will hold you to account later. Just becasue Allah does not catch you instanly  for many of your sins that does not mean that you have a license to carry on those sins. Some sins can be pardoned by Allah through astaghfar...But many moral sins, if not checked, leads to crime. These moral sins that are nourished in our homes like weeds in a farm, are results of attitudes of  parents themselves.

In UK a child may not be allowed to buy alcohol from shop nor can he drink in a pub, but he is permitted to drink in the company of elders at home and family gathering. These kids who are introduced to alcohol before they enter their teenage, grow up into alcoholics and are invlovled in crime like robbing, raping......A study of girls  between 12 -16 sponsered by the Bristish home office found that about 33 percent of them have been bullied in schools (The Times of India, May 9, 2006 from Daily Mail by Bathe Hale) In another incident, a young girl named Tamara was expelled from the school in Britian, she was only  five ! Her crime? She struck her teachers with bricks. Her weapons were verbal abuses and physcial harms. The Mumbai police have also  accepted that Juveline crime rate is up by 20 percent!

In Islamic countries, barring a few, we dont have much problems with alcohol as it is rarely consumed. So we are saved from thousands of accidents on road commited  under the influence of alcohol. The reason is simple: We program our children's mind  right from the childhood that consuming alcohol is extremly bad, and this lesson remains in the hearts and minds of the Muslims. This shows that programming of children's mind right from an early age is one of the most useful way of preventing him from being lead astray.

Eating of Pork versus eating of  a dead man's flesh

Let me explain you with another example. Every Muslim child in every country, every city, is programmed to believe that Pork is haram  and the pig is a dirty animal. So we see the moment some pigs walk into a Muslim neighborhood, little children chase them away with sticks and stones. A result of prgoramming of a child's mind. But does the same child feel the hatred about eating human flesh with same intensity? Though Gheebah (back biting) is denounced as bad as eating the  flesh of our dead brother, yet how many of us rate a child's involvement in  backbiting as bad as eating the flesh of a pig? But  we see many elders cherishing it like eating a chicken or Raan ghost. So the child grows up while  involving in sins like backbiting, which he has studied from his parents and other elders by observing them doing it.

Fighting with the enemies versus fighting with Allah and His Messenger(pbuh)

It is very common for a Muslim to react angrily when ever he is confronted by a maligning statement against Allah and His messenger. When Satanic Rushdie wrote his filthy book mocking at Qur'an and our beloved prophet, every Muslim wanted him to be punished, but many among those Muslims knowlingly are themselves invovled in war against Allah and His messenger. Interest based loans for education,  for buying houses and  vehicles...are growing into an unavoidable essential transactions for many Muslims. So the child grows up hating the enemies of Islam but gets into war with Allah and His messenger.

Ali r.a. used to say : Play with your child till he reaches 7,  then discipline him tilll he reaches 14, then keep him with you till he is 21, then set him free, inshallah he is matured.

But our little children grow up seeing us breaking shariah in every nook and corner of our lives, we are ourselves badly disciplined and therefore  we are programming them to be worse than us.Therefore I say: Many a times  CRIME BEGINS AT HOME
