Support your brother if he is an oppressor or he is oppressed

عن أنس بن مالك رضى الله تعالى عنه- أنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى عليه وسلم : انصر أخاك ظالما أو مظلوما قالوا: يارسول الله هذا ننصره مظلوما , فكيف ننصره ظالما؟ قال: تأخذ فوق يديه. صدق رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم
سبب هذا الحديث كما جاء فى مسلم

أنه أقتتل رجل من المهاجرين وغلام من الانصار فنادى المهاجرى ياللمهاجرين ونادى الانصارى ياللأ نصار فخرج رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال ما هذا؟ دعوى للجاهليه؟ قالوا لا , ان غلامين اقتتلا فكسع ( أى ضرب مؤخره بيده أو بصدر قدمه) أحدهما الأخر , فقال صلى الله عليه وسلم لا بأس , ولينصرن الرجل أخاه ظالما أو مظلوما .
Narrated from Anas ebn malek (may Allah be pleased from him) - He said: the messenger of God (peace be upon him said)
"Support your brother if he is an oppressor or he is oppressed, they said: O messenger of God we will support him if he is oppressed, how would we support him if he is oppressor, he said (the messenger of God peace and blessing be upon him) take over his hands."

Explanation:
The messenger of Allah (peace be upon him said) : support your brother ( brother in Islam ) and did not mean brother by blood relation. support him in case he is oppressor ( Unjust –unfair –oppressive) and support him in case he is oppressed (unjustly treated ---victim of injustice ) then a companion said (asking): o messenger of Allah ( peace be upon him) we will support him if he is oppressed ( easy to understand and logic too)but how would we help him if he is oppressor ,,, the messenger of Allah said take over his hands means to stop him from doing the wrong thing with words or with force .


The Reason or (the cause) for this saying (HADITH) as it has explained in Muslim is:
           There was a fight between a man from the immigrants and a young man from the supporters (Al Ansar), the immigrant called the immigrants in a way asking them to help him and the young man from the supporters called as well the supporters to help him…then the messenger of Allah peace be upon him came out and said, what is this?
       Is it a case of ignorance? they said no, two young men fought each other and one of them slammed the other, so the prophet (peace be upon him) said ok, the man should support his brother in case of oppressed or oppressor
