Arundhati Speaks: puts forward 13 questions in her book on the parliament attack of Dec 13

Arundhati Speaks: SHARE THE TRUTH (MUST READ)
Arundati puts forward 13 questions in her book on the parliament attack of Dec 13:

Question 1: For months before the Attack on Parliament, both
the government and the police had been saying that Parliament
could be attacked. On 12 December 2001, at an informal
meeting the Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee warned of an
imminent attack on Parliament. On 13 December Parliament was
attacked. Given that there was an ‘improved security drill’, how
did a car bomb packed with explosives enter the parliament
complex?

Question 2: Within days of the Attack, the Special Cell of Delhi
Police said it was a meticulously planned joint operation of Jaish-e-Mohamma d and Lashkar-e- Toiba . They said the attack was led by a man called ‘Mohammad’ who was also involved in the hijacking of IC-814 in 1998. (This was later refuted by the CBI.)
None of this was ever proved in court.
What evidence did the Special Cell have for its claim?

Question 3: The entire attack was recorded live on Close Circuit
TV (CCTV). Congress Party MP Kapil Sibal demanded in
Parliament that the CCTV recording be shown to the members.
He was supported by the Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha,
Najma Heptullah, who said that there was confusion about the
details of the event. The chief whip of the Congress Party,
Priyaranjan Dasmunshi, said, ‘I counted six men getting out of
the car. But only five were killed. The close circuit TV camera
recording clearly showed the six men.’ If Dasmunshi was right,
why did the police say that there were only five people in the car? Who was the the sixth person?
Where is he now?
Why was the CCTV recording not produced by the prosecution as evidence in the trial? Why was it not released for public viewing?

Question 4: Why was Parliament adjourned after some of these questions were raised?

Question 5: A few days after 13 December, the government
declared that it had ‘ incontrovertible le evidence’ of Pakistan’s
involvement in the attack, and announced a massive
mobilization of almost half a million soldiers to the Indo-
Pakistan border. The subcontinent was pushed to the brink of
nuclear war. Apart from Afzal’s ‘confession’, extracted under
torture (and later set aside by the Supreme Court), what was the
‘ incontrovertible le evidence’?

Question 6: Is it true that the military mobilization to the Pakistan border had begun long before the 13 December Attack?

Question 7: How much did this military standoff, which lasted for
nearly a year, cost? How many soldiers died in the process? How many soldiers and civilians died because of mishandled landmines, and how many peasants lost their homes and land because trucks and tanks were rolling through their villages, and landmines were being planted in their fields?

Question 8: In a criminal investigation it is vital for the police to
show how the evidence gathered at the scene of the attack led them to the accused. How did the police reach Mohammad
Afzal? The Special Cell says S.A.R. Geelani led them to Afzal.
But the message to look out for Afzal was actually flashed to the Srinagar Police before Geelani was arrested. So how did the
Special Cell connect Afzal to the 13 December Attack?

Question 9: The courts acknowledge that Afzal was a surrendered militant who was in regular contact with the security
forces, particularly the Special Task Force
(STF) of Jammu & Kashmir Police.
How do the security
forces explain the fact that a person under their surveillance was
able to conspire in a major militant operation?

Question 10: Is it plausible that organizations like Lashkar-e-
Toiba or Jaish-e-Mohamme d would rely on a person who had
been in and out of STF torture chambers, and was under
constant police surveillance, as the principal link for a major
operation?

Question 11: In his statement before the
court, Afzal says that he was introduced to ‘Mohammed’
and instructed to take him to Delhi by a man called Tariq, who was
working with the STF. Tariq was named in the police charge
sheet. Who is Tariq and where is he now?

Question 12: On 19 December 2001,
sixdays after the Parliament Attack, Police Commissioner, Thane (Maharashtra), S.M. Shangari identified one of the attackers killed in the Parliament Attack as Mohammad Yasin Fateh Mohammed (alias Abu Hamza) of the Lashkar-e-Toiba , who had been arrested in Mumbai in November 2000, and immediately handed over to the
J&K Police. He gave detailed descriptions to support his statement. If Police Commissioner Shangari was right, how did
Mohammad Yasin, a man in the custody of the J&K Police, end
up participating in the Parliament Attack?
If he was wrong, where is Mohammad Yasin now?
Question 13: Why is it that we still don’t know who the five dead ‘terrorists’ killed in the Parliament Attack are?

Sisters beaten up by Hindu extremist n abused by Kolkata Police for converting to Islam

Arshad Ali
http://m.indianexpress.com/news/sisters-beaten-up-for-converting-to-islam/962523/

A south Kolkata girl, who has converted from Hinduism to Islam, and her sister who is also keen to convert, were beaten up allegedly by the associates of the local councillor. The girls have also alleged police inaction.

Vinita Shaw, 25, a resident of 57/2B Bondel Road, adopted Islam in December last year. Her new name, vide an affidavit by a first class magistrate is, Taiba Khatoon (The Indian Express possesses a copy of the affidavit). Her sister, 18-year-old Pooja Shaw, too, expressed her wish to follow suit last week.

The conversion apparently did not go down too well with their neighbours, who, on June 8, beat up the two sisters and their family, including her mother and brother, with bricks and rods.

“We are a very poor family. My father is paralytic and bed-ridden. These people started a fight on the pretext that we dirty the place too much. But when they started beating us, they said unmentionable things as I have converted,” said Vinita. She also alleged that both sisters were abused and molested.

Vinita also claimed harassment at the hands of the police.“I went to the police station with a written complaint against Asim Bera, Tapas Bera, Abhishek Malakar, Krishna Ray, Akash Ray, Manoj Singh, Bikas Singh and Birju Paswan but investigating officer D D Roy Chowdhury tore it up and wrote it himself. He even refused to give me a copy of the complaint and when I insisted, he asked the other officer there to give it to me, referring to me with unmentionable names,” she said.

Pooja is still admitted at a private hospital in Broad Street. “I did not want anyone to know that after my sister, I, too, wanted to convert but these people somehow got an air of it. They are close aides of the local councillor, which is why the police is not taking any action,” she said.

She also said that when her paternal uncle, Kanaiya Lal Shaw, who lives next door, came to their rescue, he was also roughed up. “My mother Munni Devi and one of my brothers who was with us at that time were also assaulted,” she said.

OC, Karaya, S N Majumdar said a case had been lodged in the incident but denied any police inaction. “I met the girls and if they had anything against any officers, they should have told me. Even now if they have any complaint against any officer, it should be given to me in writing and I will definitely look into it,” he said.

Councillor of Ward 65 Sushil Sharma said he did not know the girls. “I only happen to know some of the accused. I don’t even know the name of the complainant. I am a broad-minded person and would not interfere with anyone’s religious sentiments. Whoever is at fault should be brought to book,” he said.

RSS activists confess their guilt in Madannapet riots

RSS activists confess their guilt in Madannapet riots
Hyderabad, May 02:

(Siasat News) In a confession statement, RSS activists N. Naganaj, GHMC Supervisor, K.Kiran Kumar, N. Ramesh alias Chenna and K.S. Dayanand admitted their crime in front of police that their intention was to incite the Muslims on the occasion of Sri Ram Nomi and Hanuman Jayanthi but due to the tolerance and peaceful attitude of the Muslims their scheme failed. After this, they hatched a conspiracy to put the legs of a cow in Hanuman Temple in Madannapet and spread green colour on its walls. As a result of it, communal riots started in the city.
These RSS workers further admitted that an RSS activist Srinivas had instigated them to do so. They disclosed that they had bought the legs of the cows from a beef shop in Chanchalguda and green colour from Sangam electrical in Ameenabad Colony.

They thought that the Muslims would be irritated if tape records are played at a high pitch and temple bell are rung creating loud noise, on the occasions of Ram Nomi and Hanuman Jayanthi but the Muslims didn’t object. They were patient and tolerant.

When this plan failed, they hatched this scheme and they were successful in their attempts which resulted in spreading communal riots in the areas of Sayeedabad, Madannapet and Kurmaguda.

Special Investigation team of the Hyderabad city police interrogated these RSS activists.

 ======================================================================

LET’S TAKE A LOOK AT THE RECORDS OF TERRORISM AROUND THE WORLD:

19th Century no attack by Muslims. Suddenly after forceful creation of Israel on Muslim land and Zionist media bashing of Muslims attacks started by freedom fighters of Palestine.

LETS SEE WHAT HAPPENED TILL NINETEENTH CENTURY.

13th March 1881 in the streets of St. Petersburg Tsar Alexander – II of Russia was traveling in a bullet proof car. An anarchist set off a bomb which killed 21 by standards. When the Tsar stepped our of car; next bomb killed him.

In 1886 a Bomb blast took place Hay market in Chicago during a labor rally. 8 anarchists were involved. All non-Muslims. Dozens killed in that violence.

6th September, 1901 US President William McKinley was assassinated. He was shot twice by an anarchist Leon Czolgosz an anarchist a non-Muslim.

1st of October Bomb blast done by two Christians James and Joseph.

28th June 1914 Archduke of Austria and his wife assassinated by members of young Bosnia who were Non-Muslim Serbs. This incidence lead to world war.

16th April 1925 bomb blast in St. Nedeliya Church; Sofia: Bulgaria was done by communists who were not Muslims.

9th October, 1934 King Alexander – I of Yugoslavia was assassinated by a gunman.

1st May 1961 the first US air craft was hijacked to Cuba by Ramirez Oriz a Non-Muslim.

28th August 1968 the US Ambassador to Guatemala was assassinated by a Non-Muslim.

30th July 1969 US Ambassador to Japan was knifed by a Japanese.

3rd September 1969 US Ambassador to Brazil was kidnapped by a Non-Muslim.

19th April 1995 Federal Building was bombed in Oklahoma city by two Christians Timothy and Terry. 166 killed and hundreds injured.

From 1941 to 1948 in total 259 severally violent terrorists attacks were committed by Jewish Terrorists.

22nd July 1946 bombing of King David Hotel was done by Menachem Begin. His team of gangsters was dressed as Arabs to pass the blame to Palestinians. 91 innocent killed. UK declared him as the deadliest terrorist. He became the Prime Minister of Israel and finally received Nobel Prize for Peace.

That shows the power of media. It can change the opinion in any direction.

When Muslims will realize that? They are busy in buildings worlds tallest towers; expensive hotels, palaces never building media.

Ariel Sharon the bulldozer the terrorist of Sabra and Shatiala was called Man of Peace by a number of US Presidents!

Creation of Israel itself at gun point is the biggest act of terror. Before 1945 Israel was no where in the world map! The original children of the land now landless. If they fight (with stones) to get back their land whole Zionist owned media portray them as terrorists and Israel state forces use all kind of latest weaponry gifted by US!

In Germany from 1968 to 1992 Baader Meinhoff Gang killed several innocent people, they were Christians.

In Italy Red Brigade kidnapped Aldo More former Prime Minister of Italy and killed several innocent human beings.

20th March 1996 Aum Shirkyo A Buddhist cult used nerve gas in a Tokyo subway.

In UK since hundred years IRA has been conducting worst possible violent terrorist acts. Where as a handful of Muslims who reacted to British participation to unjust Iraq war, immediately British British media called it Islamic terrorism. Tony Blair found Muslims are the worst danger to UK. In 100 year of violence IRA was never called as Christian or Catholic terrorists.

1972 IRA conducted three bomb blast.

1974 IRA bombed Gulf Ford Pub.

1972 IRA bombed Birmingham Pub Killed 21 and injured 182.

1996 London Bombing by IRA killed 2 injured more than 100.

1996 IRA Manchester Shopping Centre 200 injured.
IRA planted 500 pound car bomb 35 people injured.
15th August 1998 one 500 Pound car bomb killed dozens. 4th March bombed by IRA.

TONY BLAIR is more afraid of “MUSLIM TERRORISTS” than IRA who is conducting Terrorist attacks for more than a hundred years.

In Spain & France ETA conducted 36 major terrorists’ attacks.

Lords Salvation Army of Uganda is the most dreaded terror organization of Africa. They have wipe out a lot of people from that continent.

LTTE most Innovative and specialized in suicide bombing and cyanide capsules! Now dreaming of Maha Elam spreading from Sri Lanka to Tamil Nadu!

Sikhs had their Khalistan Movement; until ruthlessly suppressed by Indian Army and Punjab Police.

31st October 1984 Indian serving Prime Minister was assassinated by her two Sikh bodyguard who were definitely not muslims.

There is not a single Muslims in ATTF (All Tripura Tiger Force) who strikes terror since ages in the North East. All Christians.

National Liberation Front of Tripura has no Muslim in their ranks. All Christians.

2nd October, 2004; Christian terrorists killed 44 Hindus.

ULFA had committed 1990 to 2006 in 16 years 740 numbers of violent terrorist acts. They are all Hindus. Their list of effective and successful attacks will put Kashmiri militants at shame!

Maoist in Nepal committed 99 acts of terror in Nepal in seven years time.

Out of 600 districts of India Maoists are active in 150 with all latest weaponry and are on a killing spree. How many muslims are among their ranks???? NIL, NO ONE calls them Hindus terrorists. More killing done by Maoists than years of violence by Kashmiries.

STILL GOVT. OF INDIA AND ALL THINK THAT MUSLIMS ARE TERRORISTS DANGER FOR THE WORLD???? WHY? BECOZ OF AMERICA SAY SO?
Dont spread what u hear just go in history then you will get who is Terrorists...

With the rise of the Hindutva movement during the last three decades, there has also been an attempt to understand this phenomenon through analytical essays, articles and films. These films have also served the purpose of spreading the awareness about the rising threat of communal politics, and dangers to national integration due to the rising communal tide in the society. The Mumbai violence, Gujarat genocide, and Kandhmal killings amongst others has been the object of serious study and analysis amongst activists and scholars. Saffron War: a war against nation is the latest in a series of the significant works, which have come out lately. This film is a unique combination of analysis of Hindutva ideology, its cooption of Dalits in to communal politics and the gradual manipulation of the low caste movements and turning them away from their struggle for social justice to mobilization as foot soldiers of Hindutva where they are made to believe that the real problems of society are not due to the caste structure but the “external” one coming form Muslim and other minorities.

This film is made in the backdrop of Gorakhpur, where Yogi Adiyanath, a BJP MP, has been spreading his tentacles in a very aggressive way. The film’s major contribution is to show as to how Gorakhnath Math has gradually been shifted away from its struggle against caste oppression, how its focus on inter-community amity has been shifted away to hatred for the minorities. The film, through different interviews and visuals, shows us the spread of venom against minorities. The language used by the Yogi and his followers comes under the category of ‘Hate Speech’, which is going on in the open fashion. All the prejudices and biases against minorities, Muslims in particular, are being openly asserted in the public meetings where Muslims are not only presented in extremely negative light but also violence is openly propagated and promoted. The imaginary fear of minorities is projected and all the propagation of violence is done in the name of ‘defense of Hindu religion’. The degree of aggression in the language is shocking to say the least. In many a meeting when these hateful speeches are being made, even the Police is seen standing as passive listeners, unmindful of the fact that such hate speech should invite strong legal action.

The major mobilization for this campaign is done in the name of Yogi Adityanath and the majority of people who are mobilized and co-opted are Dalits and OBCs. They begin with Savarkar’s definition ofHindutva and the Hindu Rashtra is made the base of ‘hate other’ propaganda. This goes on to say that Muslims have to be relegated to second class citizenship in order to stop their alleged ‘appeasement’. They cite the example of Pakistan to spread this hate. Yogi’s propaganda further adds that Muslims’ voting rights have to be taken away. Gorakhpur and surrounding areas must be one of the few places where Savarkar is quoted so blatantly in the anti-minority tirade.  The emphasis on converting UP into Gujarat through Poorvanchal comes up regularly. On the lines of Bajrang Dal, there is formation of Arya Veer Sena and Hindu Yuva Vahini giving the training to youths in the use of arms, with Har Har Mahadev as their war cry.

The film brings out clearly as to how the earlier Bharat Milap procession in this area symbolized Hindu-Muslim brotherhood, but now it has been converted into an occasion where anti-Muslim sentiments are invoked. This has seriously intimidated the minorities in the area. The role of these forces in the Mau riots of 2005 is well brought out in this film.

While the film does well to focus on the core points of Savarkar ideology and cooption and Sanskrtisation of Dalits, there is a need to link up this with the overall Hindutva politics of the country. The link between Savarkar and RSS ideology also should have been highlighted. The strong point of the film is to show the political dynamics of the conversion of a low caste, syncretic space into one dominated by Braminical ideology and Hindutva politics. The film does show, in a forthright manner, the way in which Hindutva politics builds up. The history of Gorakhnath Math comes out very well along with the fact the communalization process has converted this syncretic space into exclusive Hindutva territory. It is Gorakhnath Math where earlier Muslims used to throng in large numbers and were welcome there. The scenario is dismal, there is need to develop political, ideological and cultural campaigns against this politics of hate to bring back the issues of caste and gender into the mainstream of social movements. The need to work for national integration needs to be highlighted in more ways than one.

While the film is a comprehensive study of communalism in Poorvanchal, Gorakhpur in particular, it should have connected a bit more with the national phenomenon of Hindutva. The film does need some technical improvisation and better photography.

India sets target of three years to eliminate threat from Maoists

Jeremy Page, Delhi

Maoist rebels who are now active in almost a third of India represent more of a threat than Islamic terrorists, but will be defeated within two to three years, P Chidambaram, India’s Home Minister announced today.
It was the first time that an Indian official had either set a target for defeating the Maoists – also known as Naxals or Naxalites – or rated them a bigger threat to national security than Jihadist militants.

Mr Chidambaram’s comments came as his government deploys thousands of paramilitary forces in an unprecedented nationwide assault on the Naxalites, who have been fighting to overthrow the government since 1967.

The Home Minister told a media conclave in Delhi that the Maoists and Islamic militants represented the two biggest threats to India’s national security, but the former was the more serious.
“Jihadi terrorism can be countered, usually successfully, if you are able to share information and act in real time,” he said. “But Maoism is an even graver threat.”

Manmohan Singh, the Prime Minister, had previously described the Naxalites as the biggest internal threat to India’s security, implying that Pakistan-based militants represented the greater danger.

But India has suffered only one attack by suspected Islamist militants - a bombing in the western city of Poona which killed 12 people last month - since the devastating one on Mumbai in November 2008.
By comparison, Maoist violence claimed 908 lives in India in 2009, the highest since 1971, according to the Home Ministry.

Inspired by the radical leftist ideology of Mao Zedong, the Naxalites launched their rebellion following a peasant uprising in the village of Naxalbari in West Bengal in 1967.

Since then it has grown into a force of about 40,000 permanent armed cadres and 100,000 militia members who control a “Red Corridor”, consisting mainly of dense forest, stretching from West Bengal to the border of Nepal.

They have killed about 7,500 people since 1998, according to government figures, and held up billions of pounds of potential investment in remote areas rich in natural resources.

Indian security officials also believe that the Naxalites, who claim to be fighting for the rights of the poor, are now planning to expand their activities into major cities including Mumbai and Kolkata.

Mr Chidambaram said the Maoists had a presence in 200 of India’s 626 districts, were capable of striking in 84 districts and virtually dominated 34 districts.

"They have declared a war on the Indian state,” he said. “They are anti-development. They do not want the poor to be emancipated or become economically free."

He said the Government was willing to hold peace talks with the Maoists, if they renounced violence, but would continue to use force against them if they did not and would defeat them within two to three years.
"We are confident that before the term of UPA II (the Government’s second term) ends, we will get rid of Naxals and will have considerably strengthened our security to face any threat," he said.
