Only Muharram?

Only Muharram?

The history of martyrdom in  Islam does not begin with Karbala nor does it end at Karbala, on the contrary if you scroll back and forward  searching for the martyrs whose blood still runs through every page of history you will see landmarks of martyrdom.

Prophet Zakariya and Yahya (pbut) were martyred in a very atrocious manner. The Prophet Zakariya (pbuh) was put to death by the Israelites. Zakariya (pbuh) had taken shelter in a tree and the Jews began to saw that part of the tree. The Prophet Zakariya (pbuh) did not even sound a single cry as his body was cut into two pieces. May peace be upon Zakariya.

Prophet Yahya (pbuh)was killed by King Herod at the instance of his niece who wanted to marry him. His head was place on a plate and presented before the lady

The death that shook the Prophet (pbuh) was of Hamzah and Musab bin Umair (Allah be pleased with both of them). He literally wept in public. The two great men of Islam lay dead without any proper cloth to cover them.

The throne of Allah shook at the martydom of Sa'd bin Mua'd any 70 thousand angels aprticipated in his funeral.
Umar bin Al Khattab was stabbed in the Masjid e Nabwi. His injury was so serious that even  medicine streamed out of his stomach. When Uthman bin Afwan died his body laid in his house for a whole day...The grand old man whose wealth flowed  in the way of Allah was deprived of water from the very same well which he had bought and gifted it to the community during the early struggling days. (Inshallah I plan to write a complete book on his Martyrdom

Ali was struck on his head by a poisonous sword and he fell down injured seriously..Amar bin Yaseer was brutally killed by the khwarij and his pregnant wife too brutally killed.

Muslims have lost thousands of warriors in the way of Allah and no body even remembers their death day because we are not suppose to glorify human but  glorify  Allah.

Infact the Prophet (pbuh) fasted on the day of Ashura as a part of thanking Allah that Pharoah was drowned. He fasted to thank Allah but many Muslims fast in Muharram to mourn the death of the martyrs o Karbala !!!!!! Grief over a dead is not allowed for more than three days for any Muslim except a widow.. but what about those who mourn the death of the leaders of paradise for 1350 years ? Are you not happy that they are in Paradise?????
