The New Avtaars and Venues of Kitty Parties : Face Book Groups

The New Avtaars and Venues of Kitty Parties : Face Book Groups

by Nisaar Y. Nadiadwala on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 7:53pm

For those who are new to the term "Kitty Parties" : It is a gathering of idle rich ladies of high societies who spend or rather waste their time and wealth in gossiping on useless topics while eating junk food, listening to junk music, and playing junk games"

Now the venue and the activities of kitty parties have changed. From the large drawing rooms of the rich apartments it has come down to the small chawls of middles class via internet. The cyber lanes are being turned into Cyber Halls. There are lots of "kitty parties" in these cyber halls. Some of them are called "Pages" and some "Talk rooms". A young collegian brother and my regular reader cut pasted my notes and sent them regulalry to girls untill one of my readers drew my attention and when I visited his wall, it was all decorated by my occasional social notes and edited nicely into new notes signed by the new author...beneath it lots of north Indian girls being tagged. the comments from the girls were awesome with praises for the boy's good sense of thinking !!!

Many innocent Muslim girls and young women think that these pages and groups are safe to subscribe. Well without suspecting some one's intentions let me caution you. Some of the pages are run by sisters but administered by boys. In other words they have a direct access even to those girls who other wise would not talk to a non Mahram. Some girls have ended with affairs that lead to broken hearts. In many cases the initial discussions began with responses to good Qur'anic verses and Hadith sent by the main person but the charge of replies to querries were handed over to young aspiring boys who volunteer to help them.

It is quite a destressing fact is that a large number of middle class girls get too much obsessed by their cyber companions. Some even do not know that the girl"s ID they are talking to actually is a deceptive method applied by mishcievous boys. Last year, young girl's father complained to me about her daughter's affair on interent and there was a whole group of boys and girls who started the groups by seding Qur'anic ayats and hadith on a regular basis.

They were not an authority on the subject but it was rather a cut and paste knowledge that gave decevied impression to the young enthuthiastic girls that they are proposed by a well learned boy. The said girl kept on asking innocent questions pertainning to daily fiqh and one of the boy cut pasted from a well know fatawa site. This drew the girl closer to the boy and then after a few months of closeness the seperation came like an earth quake when the boy refused to marry.

The Kitty parties on face book are painted by different colours but dangerous too because it is within the reach of middle class girls. The topics begin with Islam and lots of notes and videos are shared and ends up with a good bye..leaving the girl with more tears than fun...Will you still roam and wander in cyber lanes and get impressed by the crowded "likes" clicked on pages run by unknown young men who start groups on the name of Celebrity Islamic scholars and run it like a scholar ? Many girls may not fall into affairs but they mix up freely with Non Mahram, and that is another danger to their modesty.

My rule is simple. If you want to learn deen , approach authentic websites, or dawah centers affiliated to good sources. Or go to youtube and listen to the scholars directly..If you want to learn deen..I hope you get my point!!!!

31/December/Every year : The Most Extravagant and Violent Night

31/December/Every year : The Most Extravagant and Violent Night

by Nisaar Y. Nadiadwala on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 9:51am

This is the only note which you may not need to read in detail as the topic itself is convincing and agreed upon. The 31st Night of the year happens to be the most obscene, extravagant, violent, intoxicted night of the year and it is sad that still people globally find it entertaining and celebrate it ! In real life none of the above mentioned bunch of uncivilized actions would be tolerated in the bye lanes and even the pubs of metropolitian cities , but 31st December is extempted

Farm houses on the outskirts of Mumbai, Delhi ... are booked, five star hotels are booked, high-fi clubs are booked and small time actors and actresses who are famous for indecency are booked. There are New Year Eve tours in India, which were unheard before. Beautiful beaches of Goa are dirtied with thrown away alcohol bottles and used condoms scattered everywhere on the streets, and car parking zones.. Lewid dancers are paid astronomical amount to display vulgar dance. My Gujarati news paper has given a good note on the changing habits of Gujratis in celebrating new year. Alcohol is banned in Gujarat so the Gujaratis book Mumbai and Rajahastan paying any thing between 100 $ US to 1200 US $ . The most obscene part about these tours is that one can join only in couples.

In Goa, there are Rave parties.. for those who dont know the term Rave party.. it is a gathering of the superlative lewd people who take drugs to dance whole night. Russian tourists have arrived in thousands to enjoy with the unemplyed bar girls of Mumbai who, other wise cannot work after 10 pm as per the law. The Rave parties fetch 500 US $ per participant. Cambodia and Thailand have put restrictions on such parties but Goa is prospering. For the thousands of Russians and rich Indians 31st December is a time for "sex, drink and drug toursim'

A recent analysis of National Highway Traffic Safety Administration statistics shows that, by the time US finished ringing in the year 2008 (the latest year for which data are available), 59 people had died in alcohol-related traffic crashes in the 12-hour span between 6:00 p.m. on New Year's Eve and 5:59 a.m. the next morning. Two weeks later, on the same night of the week, the death toll dropped to 13.

(SOURCE National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcohol)

My newspaper assures me that the entire police department of Mumbai will be on the road on this 31st Night. Yet I along with other millions of Mumbaites, am skeptic if these few thousands of cops can control a multiple times more intoxicated crowd driving, walking and behaving in a rash manner?

There is a well known phrase in Urdu.. Begani shaadi mein Abdullah diwana...(A common passerby will join and dance in any marriage procession without even knowing who the groom is!) This is how new year is celebrated every where across the world including Muslim nations. Nobody dares to challenge or questions the merit of this celebration. It seems as if the entire thinking and descision making process of the masses had been bought up by the marketeers. Nobody know what fun is there in wild celebrations. As the Qur'an rightly puts it : But most of them follow nothing but fancy....Surah Yunus ch 10: 36

My Husband Changed my Life for Ever...A Comeback story of Shirin

My Husband Changed my Life for Ever...A Comeback story of Shirin

by Nisaar Y. Nadiadwala on Sunday, January 1, 2012 at 4:40pm

The Juwaleys are a big name in Kokani circle. But this is the story of a Juwaley who towers the rest of the Juwaleys. It is a story that burnt the India media for days. Shirin Juwaley an innocent young bride who was the victim of a criminal act of the highest order, when her husband threw acid on her face , perhaps with the intention to disfigure her forever. Well he did succeed in disfiguring her face, to some extent but failed to make any lasting impact on her indomitable spirit. The marriage took place on Valentine day, says Shirin on her wordpressblog "My husband Changed my Life Forever".

Her marraige took place in 1998 and within a few months the girl asked for a divorce. One day her husband threw acid on her face and fled off abroad. It was a third degree burn on the face . The features were destroyed but the eyes were miraculously saved. She was hospitalised for almost two months and every day she underwent painful swabbing of fluids from her wounds. It was a painful dressing every day. It was hard to believe that she had lost her face and will have to live without a face for the rest of the lilfe.

It was difficult to adjust with the new way of life. Adults and kids used to get panicked upon seeing her. She was denied entry at the McDonald’s in Fort because of the way she looked. The young lady preffered to stay at home and even deprieved fresh her to herself to avoid people. For two years she stayed at home inactive. Then she decided to get up take charge of her life and she took.

Shirin had to undergo almost 16 surgeries to recover a lot of past normalcy. 16 surgeries is not a small number, and one of them in the US. On returning back, she started Palash, her support group for burn victims. “We are not here to counsel, but when we go to the victims at Sion Hospital, we just hold their hands. At that time, fighting rejection, guilt, and extreme physical and mental pain, all they want is just a touch of empathy,” she says, adding, “It is the only way to rehabilitation.”

Do you want to know why am I writing this note ? Now look back at the title again....and see the two perspective of the incident...Shirin has got remarried to a young man who holds a good and a senior post in a multinational company.I was really dumb with no words to thank my loving friend Raza khan when he informed me that he has married this lady. We pray to Allah that may He make her happy and bless the couple in this world and the hereafter, and I congrajulate Raza Khan with this Quranic verse : Good is for those who do good in this world and more in the hereafter.. Surah Yunus... ameen.. After all it is really difficult to pass the acid test.

Printing Money Without A Printing Press !!! A Brief Study of Conventional Banking System

Printing Money Without A Printing Press !!! A Brief Study of Conventional Banking System

by Nisaar Y. Nadiadwala on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 8:14pm

A large number of banks have gone bankrupts due to loan losses or credit losses. But where does the money

vanish ? Let me make it simple for my readers. Suppose if you put $1000 in a bank. As per the rule (with a little difference here and there, the bank cannot trade with your entire money, so it has to keep atleast 10 % ) The bank will keep $100 and it will lend out the remaining $900. Then I will apply for a loan and get $ 900.. But that is your money, right ? I may not pick up the money so it remain there in my account, but in the bank's ledger the amount is now $1,900 !!! Then Robert applies for a loan, so he get from my $900, so he get $ 810, but he too does not require it now so he sticks it inthe bank. There fore in the Bank's ledger it is now 2710... and this goes on till your money is counted as $10,000 in the ledger but actually it is only $1000.

It means there is no new wealth actually, unless every single money is paid back with interest. But we all know that not loans are paid back, and this is a global financial epedemic of not repaying your loans. And in the current crisis, many many loans aren’t being paid back – which means that dollars are out there that shouldn’t be out there – they are supposed to be representing wealth, but that wealth doesn’t exist, and never will, so the result is the inflation of the currency. This problem is created because of the “easy money” (banks can lend out almost an endless supply, so they do), so investors and loan recipients take unreasonable risks, and end up creating a buying/selling craze (like the recent housing bubble). An even worse result is that once the banks teeter on the brink of failure, the government swoops in and bails them out (which the banks knew the government would do – which is why they played games with our money) – with your money. Our money.

Conventional banks are the biggest culprits of present money crises. Look at another example. You are a middle class person who dreams of buying a house. So you put your wealth in fixed deposit for a few years hoping the wealth to grow and you can afford to buy a house. There are hundreds of depositers likes you. What does the bank do with your money ? After all it has to pay big fat heavy salaries to its caravanic staff. So they will approach a builder. The builder is running short of money to errect his structure. So he has two options.

1. To sell his products quickly with a little margin like other products (grains, vegetables...)

2. Take a loan from the bank and complete the project without selling his product at a lesser price. This is more beneficial for him. There fore he takes a loan from the bank which was actually your money. So he waits for customers who can pay him more. Now you cannot buy that house because it is expensive, more than your savings plus interest.

So the bank comes to you again offering you EMI, Easy Money Installment. You are told that you will have to pay easily for next 220 months and own our house. And you fall for that. So your deposit is now mortgaged as a guarentee. In the end, the builder becomes richer and you have to slought for 220 months to own that flat which is actually bought by your own money via a housing loan and interest.

One day you come to know that there are hundreds of defaulters who have not repaid the loans, so the bank does not have money to pay salary and the rent of huge offices and other bills. This is what has happened in global economy where besides individuals and companies, even nations and states are on the verge of bankruptsy...

Tomorrow Inshallah THE BRILLIANCE OF ISLAMIC BANKING.

The Brilliance of Islamic Banking !!!!!

The Brilliance of Islamic Banking !!!!!

by Nisaar Y. Nadiadwala on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 9:47pm

Dr Hassan Hussain is known as the father of Islamic Banking. I saw his interview where he said : In past few years Islamic banks have grown at the rate of twenty five percent. This is amazing. In times when we have banks declaring bankruptsy we have a new type of banking system where the investors are part of business and not merely interest getters. The conventional banks are the only among the few business that begins with a huge debt. From day one they are in debt. The money that is deposited in the banks are not an asset of bank but a loan given by the depositers who take interest in return. So the whole game begins with a huge deficit.

In a conventional bank a borrower takes a huge amount of money but gives a share of few fixed percentage and keeps the rest of the money in his pocket. Only one section , the borrower, benefits. So the Realators and the entreprueners benefit . Islamic Banks have a risk sharing, equal partnership and minus ribaa' ( interest). In Islamic banks, the bond holders and the investors will get a share in the profit from the money borrowed from the bank by business. In fact the Islamic bank is just the manager of the depositer's wealth the real wealth belongs to the investors.

Islamic banks are a blessing to conventional economic system that is why even in Non Muslim country there are a lot of banks coming up and even non Muslims investing in and benefitting it and their money is safe unlike other banks. According to Dr Hassan.. he and his team were invited by the Nigerian Government to study Islamic banking system. The poor African nations are fed up trembling under the quaking western Euro economy which is tumbling down to its depth. They are looking for an option which is honest in dealings . Islam is the best rescue.

When British banking giant HSBC Group (HBC ) began offering mortgages carefully formulated to meet Islamic banking practices last year in Malaysia, it was surprised that more than half of its customers were non-Muslim. From Jakarta to Jeddah, 265 Islamic banks and other financial institutions are now operating in some 40 countries, with total assets that top $262 billion. Islamic Banking is reaching its zenith and as Islam is the religion of the entire universe, as the Qur'an says Rahmatulil Almeen a Mercy of entire mankind. as the title of Rasulullah peace be upon him...

Seeking a Strong Personality ?... Seek Wisdom

Seeking a Strong Personality ?... Seek Wisdom
by Nisaar Y. Nadiadwala on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 4:52am

Do you suffer from any inferiority complex regarding your looks or colour and height or wealth ? Do you find your self nervous and dumb when you are in a gathering? May be you are looking for some personality development program which will help you drive away your shyness. Whom will you approach?

One of the most fascinating and inspiring verse of the Qur'an is from Surah al Baqarah : 269 " Allah grants Wisdom to whom ever He pleases. He to whom wisdom is granted has been granted good in abundance" The understanding of wisdom differs from ideology to ideology. You may find some " wise counsellor " writing answers to teenagers in agony. Their solution for a girl whose boyfriend has deserted her : Seek another boy friend ! Their solution for a teenager whose problem is " Unchecked vulgar appetite " It is normal in these days !" It is a sad state of affair that many people are being taken wrongly as wise men and women fo the society.

Islamic defination of wisdom fits with the modern classical defination of wisdom "The results of wise judgments; scientific or practical truth; acquired knowledge; erudition" Ibn Abbas defined wisdom as the knowledge of Qur'an and Sunnah. In other words " the knowledge of Islamic juriprudence" To differentiate between the right and the wrong and also the ability to notice the better when all the options look equally good.

The higher lever of wisdom is when you pick up a better among the bunch of good and you remain steadfast in it. The status of wisdom is very high. Surah al Mujadilah verifies it " Allah will exhalt in degree those of you who have believed and have been granted knowledge. ..If you are granted wisdom then no matter how you look how how tall or short you are or how fair or dark you are, people will look up at you during their crises. The heroes of our community were the wise men and women, and now the trend is being revived.

Now the heroes of our Ummah are the wise religious scholars. You have to see the clicks under their wise talks and videos. even a ten minute talks of Noman Ali khan attracts fifty thousand clicks. Where as it takes only one day to get one hundred clicks when every any video clips of Dr Zakir Naik is put on the You tube. Shaikh Ahmed Deedat and many other scholars have thousand of fan following. The viewers list runs in thousands and many even go out of hundred thousands. It is not the fame I am referring to, but the reason is people want to learn and know more. In the age of industrialisation and techonology wise men are as much sought after as film and sport stars. Though the rivals have indecency, lewid music, aggresive performance and violence to attract the masses

If you have learned to love and follow Islam then you need not worry about those grooming classes. If you know essential fiqh and teach people and motivate them to add up Islamic values iin their habits then you are a hero. Wisdom never goes out of fashion like modern fashion goes. It is the wisdom that made Ibn Abbas a jewel in Khalifa's shura inspite of being young. It was this wisdom that made Luqman being honoured in the Holy Qur'an, inspite of being dark n curly haired freed slave. Wisdom is not a monoploy of rich and affluent, nor is it available in departmental stores, but it is within the reach of all those who want to get it..If you are wise.. you are not depended upon your fame or wealth or friends or looks to take you to the hearts of the people. Because all honour is from Allah and honour comes with wisdom....and wisdom comes from learning Qur'an and Sunnah...

Immodest Dress of women is responsible for rise in number of rape: Director General of Police.

Women should know how much skin they should cover: Karnataka minister

Women should know how much skin they should cover: Karnataka minister
TNN|Jan 2,2012,07.06AM IST
"Women work in IT companies and call centres at night, they ought to know how much skin they should cover when they leave for such work places, the minister said."

HUBLI: Karnataka's women and child welfare minister C C Patil assumed tones of a moral policeman on Sunday saying, "I personally don't favour women wearing provocative clothes and always feel they need to be dignified in whatever they wear." He also said women should know how much skin they should cover.

Patil was speaking to TOI on Andhra Pradesh director general of police Dinesh Reddy attributing the rise in rape cases to women dressing provocatively by wearing "flimsy and fashionable" dresses. Patil said incidents like rape and sexual harassment occur when moral values among men decline - the subtext being women dressing "provocatively" cause men's morals to nosedive.

"Today's lifestyle makes it mandatory for women to work like men and live on equal terms with them. So women work in IT companies and call centres at night, they ought to know how much skin they should cover when they leave for such work places. Thus, I leave the issue of their dressing to them," said Patil.

"I do not insist on a dress code for women because women belonging to various castes and communities dress according to their culture and tradition. Many women wear saris while others wear salwar. At the same time, there are western outfits like low-waist jeans also easily available in the market. But it's up to women to decide which dress is safe for them," he said.

Perhaps apprehending he would be accused of being a misogynist, Patil hastily added, "Over the centuries, we have given respectful position and dignified status to women. We worship women in many ways. As a mark of respect to women, many rivers are named after them in the country which only indicates the respect we have towards women.''

'Bhagvad Gita' faces extremist branding, legal ban in Russia

'Bhagvad Gita' faces extremist branding, legal ban in Russia
Posted on: 17 Dec 2011, 10:33 AM

Moscow: Bhagvad Gita, one of the most sacred Hindu religious texts, is facing a legal ban and the prospect of being branded as 'an extremist' literature across Russia, with a court in Siberia's Tomsk city all set to deliver its final verdict Monday in a case filed by state prosecutors.

The final pronouncement in the case will come just two days after Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was here for a bilateral summit meeting with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev from Dec 15 to 17.

The case, which has been going on in Tomsk court since June this year, seeks to get a Russian translation of 'Bhagvad Gita As It Is' written by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), on the Hindu religious text banned in Russia and declaring it as a literature spreading 'social discord', apart from rendering its distribution on Russian soil illegal.

In view of the case, Indians settled in Moscow, numbering about 15,000, and followers of the ISKCON religious movement here have appealed to Manmohan Singh and his government to intervene diplomatically to resolve the issue in favour of the Hindu religious text, an important part of Indian epic 'Mahabharat' written by Sage Ved Vyasa.

The ISKCON followers of Russia have also written a letter to the Indian Prime Minister's Office in New Delhi seeking immediate intervention, lest the religious freedom of Hindus living here be compromised.

“The case is coming up for a final verdict on Monday in Tomsk court. We want all efforts from Indian government to protect the religious right of Hindus in Russia,” Sadhu Priya Das of ISKCON and a devotee of a 40-year-old Krishna temple in central Moscow, told IANS.

The court, which took up the case filed by the state prosecutors, had referred the book to the Tomsk State University for 'an expert' examination October 25 this year.

But Hindu groups in Russia, particular followers of the ISKCON, say the university was not qualified, as it lacked Indologists.

The Hindus had pleaded with the court that the case was inspired by religious bias and intolerance`from a majority religious group in Russia, and have sought that their rights to practice their religious beliefs be upheld.

The prosecutor's case also seeks to ban the preaching of Prabhupada and ISKCON's religious beliefs, claiming these were 'extremist' in nature and preached 'hatred' of other religious beliefs.

“They have not just tried to get the Bhagvad Gita banned, but also brand our religious beliefs and preachings as extremist,” Das said.

In fact, the ISKCON devotees have taken up the matter with the Indian embassy in Moscow too, apart from writing to the Prime Minister's Office in New Delhi, for an early diplomatic intervention, before things get worse and the court passes an adverse verdict banning the 'Bhagvad Gita' and Krishna consciousness teachings.

In the Nov 1 letter, addressed to Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister Pulok Chatterji, ISKCON's New Delhi branch Governing Body Commissioner Gopal Krishna Goswami, said the prosecutor's affidavit claims Lord Krishna 'is evil and not conforming to Christian religious view'.

Goswami also urged Singh to accord priority to the matter during his Moscow stay and to take it up with the Russian authorities.

Indian diplomatic corps officials at the embassy here, who were unwilling to be named, told IANS that they have been following up the case since the time it was brought to their notice earlier this year and that they had also taken up the matter at the appropriate levels in the Russian government to get the case either withdrawn or get the defence to fight the case to obtain a favourable verdict.

Officials at the Indian Prime Minister's office, who are part of the Indian delegation accompanying Singh, confirmed the case and the letter they received from ISKCON in this regard to IANS.

“This matter is receiving the highest attention and the Indian embassy officials in Moscow have been instructed to follow up the case with the Russian authorities,” they said

Hindu group 'flew Pakistan flag to create communal tension between Hindus and Muslims in India

Hindu group 'flew Pakistan flag to create communal tension.'
5 January 2012 Last updated at 12:14 GMT
By Habib Beary, Bangalore

The flag raised in Sindgi. The incident caused increased communal tension

Six members of a right-wing Hindu group have been arrested in India's southern Karnataka state for raising Pakistan's national flag on a government building.

Police say those arrested belong to the Sri Rama Sena group.

The flag was raised in Sindgi, near Bijapur, on 1 January, leading to angry protests by Hindu organisations and the stoning of a Muslim prayer hall.

Police say Sri Rama Sena was trying to create "communal disharmony" in an area with a sizeable Muslim presence.

Sri Rama Sena is a fringe group that claimed responsibility for attacking women outside a pub in the coastal district of Mangalore in 2009, saying that allowing females in pubs was against Indian culture.
'Dividing society'

Inspector general of police Charan Reddy told the BBC the situation in Sindgi was "now peaceful".

"It seems they were out to create communal disharmony," he said.

Hindu organisations had called for strikes in a number of towns around Bijapur to protest against the flag-raising.

But Mr Reddy said police investigations had led them to members of the Sri Rama Sena, a group founded by Pramod Muthalik after it broke away from the Bajrang Dal, an affiliate of the long-standing Hindu nationalist organisation, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Mr Muthalik is the leading suspect in the attack on the women in Mangalore.

Former chief minister and Janata Dal Secular party leader HD Kumaraswamy said of the flag-raising: "It is such a shame. I blame the RSS and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the incident. They want to divide society on religious lines."

Bijapur is close to Hyderabad in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh and is a historic town with a sizeable Muslim population.

Police arrested Sri Rama Sena members for the desecration of a mosque in Mysore a few years ago.

The carcass of a pig was thrown near the prayer hall, an act that triggered major riots between Hindus and Muslims.

Karnataka was also rocked by a series of attacks on churches by right-wing groups in 2008, immediately after the BJP came to power.
